Ansel Adams was born on February 20th 1902 and he died on April 22nd 1984. He was born in the great city of San Francisco and is a photographer as well as a environmentalist. He had no formal training in the profession of photography because his family was poor and lacked financial needs. His passion for nature and pictures likely came from the Golden Gate Bridge and other Sf surrounding because he lived close by it. He started off when his parents gave him a Kodak n.1 Brownie Box. He explored Yosemite, went on hikes, nature walks and built his profession and self confidence by himself . Soon after he joined the Sierra Club which he took photos for the daily bulletin. His photos became noticed and soon was discovered by Albert Bender, a patron of the art who immediately jump started his whole career. After Bender helped his career projects were endless for him .
He is best known for his black and white landscape shots, especially in Yosemite National Park. To add to his accomplishments he developed the zone system which determines proper contrast and exposure. With such great photos, he primarily used large format cameras because they ensured sharpness . He confounded the group f/64 and worked with many great masters of photography. But till this day his photos and legacy
still remains especially in his black and white photogra
